Chris Halen is a music-​enthus​iasist from Germany. Growing up in the former East Berlin, where his first contact with the “black gold” – the vinyl - came thanks to his father as a 5-year old, he would spent time at school celebr​ations on the cassette recorder responsible for the music. From then on music would play a large role in his life.
After the fall of the Berlin Wall, Chris discovered the Berlin club scene. Starting with the first rave parties in Berlin youth clubs, and later in clubs such as the bunker, walfisch, e-werk etc. Always fascinated by the DJ, Chris began to buy his own records in 1994 at Hardwax Berlin, followed by the first self-o​rganiz​ed parties in Berlin's "Dance School Schmidt" and the "Old Brewery". By the end of the 90s, Chris turned away a bit from the electronic dance music and focused for short periods in other directions before he returned to the Berlin club scene in 2002.
Since 2009, Chris has presented his podcast series “Berlin City Beats” to listeners at the portal Mixcloud & Soundcloud at irregular intervals.
In 2014 Chris starts his new podcast - called CRUDEHOURZ . No genre rules - play what you like, is the slogan. From Electr​onica, to Deep House to Progressive House, Chill out and Progressive Trance.

Since November 2014, there is another mixsession next to the crudehourz. Wellen​rausch b2b chris halen presents the "Deviant Knights" every 2nd Friday of the month. 2 hours music and lots of fun.
