John Sweet was born in Crete (Greece), on October 20. He is living in Manchester (UK) where he studies electronic music production and acting as a Dj too.
His relation with Electronic music has been started from the age of 16, When he started to work in a record store and later as a dj in clubs.Always loved to experiment with sounds and music, he was trying to get useful information concerning entire music from other professional DJs/Producers.
His sets are filled with moodiness and musical mystery with the atmospherical sounds pass through your ears and with an earthly bass rhythm.
In 2009 John released his first track “Sienta La Danza” at Melodic Records (a Colombian label supported by many top DJs such as John Digweed) and with this, music industry welcome him. The same year he had a couple of releases in Melodic records again.
In 2010, Traffic 91.8 FM (www.trafficfm.eu voted in the top 50 hit music stations in Europe via internet streaming by The European Radio Broadcasting) welcomes John Sweet and from then and after he is running a radio show under the name ''Sweet Reactions'' and next to the big names such as John Diwgeed , Sharam, Armin Van Buuren Carl Cox Adam Beyer, Mark Knight and a lot of other famous radio shows.His show is already well known in many countries around the world with support from great Dj's and Producers.
As a Producer, the 2011 began for him very successful as his first EP "Matter & Energy" released in Unseen Records with great support by : Paul Van Dyk, Dubfire, Richie Hawtin, Max Demand, Solarstone, D-formation, Markus Schulz, Lemon8, Levan, Joe T Vannelli, , Aural Frequency, Vitaly Depp, Fedde le grand and many more.. The EP was 3rd in 5 days on Top10 of Unseen Records. The same time "Mediterranean Vibes" EP released by Pesto Records of Jon Silva in Germany and few months after, a great upcoming track made (collab. Sean Angel), releasing in a big Australian label Indigo records (a label supported by DJs such as John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Dave Seaman, Guy J and music stations like Proton Radio, Frisky Radio and BBC Radio 1) , remixed by 2 great producers - Nick Stoynoff and Kieran J and putting him in a high level quality of music production continuing doing originals and remixes.
With that success, a new door open from Lowbit Records (part of Proton family, UK) and released there (collab. Sean Angel) another big track for the compilation "Through The Door Vol. 2" and taking positive feedback by: Jaytech, Kassey Voorn, Deepfunk, Darin Epsilon, Gai Barone and many more...
End of 2011 and John made the schedule of his Radio Show “ Sweet Reactions” bigger. Two more Radio Stations added in his timetable and John is getting support from more places around the world. For the season 2011-2012, John’s Radio Show is running on Traffic FM 91.8 (Greece), Kiss FM 95.8 & 101.2 (Algarve, Portugal) and Danceradio.ca (Toronto ,Canada).
2012 is set to be a great year for John Sweet...
