In this article we'll break down the similarities and differences between the two cameras - but your decision should come down to the type of photographer you are, and where you are on your photographic journey. @DarnGoodPhotos: I've just accquired a old Nikon 1 J2 with Kitlens & bag, because it's the smallest DSLM, i've ever owned. Otherwise I'd go with Nikon Z50 or Canon M6 II. One thing to pay attention to is that the X-T200 screen may cause battery to deplete faster. With the X-T20, it is possible to shoot up to a maximum of 8fps with the mechanical shutter. The X-TX0 series have always been about offering the same SLR styled shooting experience as the top of the line X-T series, but with a little less functionality under the hood. If money isn’t a consideration, I’d go with the T3. All where shot on the prototype XT30. Buy the X-T20 and save the $350 or put the $350 towards a prime lens like the 23mm f2 or 35mm f2. I will take mostly photos, maybe some videos, but the former is my main priority. So I am hesitant to tell him I will take it. There is also no pixel-mapping on x-t200 in 2020. Need both. Sometimes auto is better then no shot. M6 II, kit lens and EVF is about 1050USD which is a great value. Kudos to Fujifilm for offering such a wide variety and choice. The X-T20’s face and eye detection isn’t nearly as effective as that of the X-T30 because it uses the older algorithm. The new model will be available in three colour variations – black, silver and a charcoal version that will be released in May – whereas the X-T20 only comes in black and silver. Not only does it have more resolution (3.69 vs 2.36 million dots) but the panel is larger (0.5-inch vs 0.39-inch) and the magnification is also higher (0.75x vs 0.62x). It gives me out-of-this-world (literally) pictures of our universe, yet it has some quirks. The question is would you take a new xt20 or a used or new but discounted xt1 for around the same price or less? I would not be surprised if a X-T40 would be sacrificed to go up in a X-T300.

I don't feel like I need to latest and greatest camera and when I went and tried out the XT-20 I really liked it and it's being sold at a great price. Fantastic first look as usual, Jonas. XT20 is an excellent choice if you insist on Fujifilm. What makes you say that? Today with the X-T30 that doesn’t change.

If you're referring to X-T200; yes, it has a Bayer CFA. But honestly, I never found much use for it. Look at my tagline, forever here. Agreed, and also they were a low cost entry point to full frame, which is what brought me to the system. We hope you find it useful! Also the WR lens issue you mention tips the balance in favour of the T30. I have the Fuji xT3 and believe it is a great camera. If that sounds valuable to you, you should do it.

As I haven't used either cameras before, I don't really know to what extent the size will be a burden (or not) ona daily use basis.

This also means that all the stuff you can do with the X-T3, you can do with the X-T30!

cheerss.

Santamaria, all these cameras are great in low light. Since as far as I can tell they share the same touchscreen based UI, it would seem like if you have $800 to spend on a Fuji (give or take) if you like an EVF then the X-T200 is for you. Small trivia: the X-T2 is available in black or graphite silver (special edition). The X-T20 is available in black or silver. I’m getting the XH1 because it has IBIS!
Is an updated model expected? XT20 with 18-55mm is cheaper than even XT200. One FSM the X-T20 doesn’t have is Eterna, which is a video profile characterised by subdued colour presentations and rich shadow tones. This is a paradox since the sensor is basically a lightsensitive plate, while the processor is actually what interprets, analyses and renders the final image that you see in your output. Some reviewers take the fanciest cameras you can buy and their sample images look okay, at best. Was thinking of the much less capable Canon M200. The sensor in the X-T30 is the same X-Trans4 26.1 megapixel backside illuminated sensor as the one found in the XT3. The old habit of seeing faces where there are none remains however. They are both good cameras. And you can make fine compositions with a 4-5 bucks disposable, plastic-lens, 35mm Film "Camera". These midrange cameras should have capable autofocus systems, lots of direct controls and the latest sensors offering great image quality. Thank you in advance! I have been shooting it with the XF16mm f/2.8, XF23mm f/2, XF35mm f/1.4, Mitakon 35mm f/0.95, XF50mm f/2 – All of this is able to fit snuggly into an ONA Bowery bag. I take my camera with me to snowboarding every weekend, regardless of the weather. In this buying guide we’ve rounded up all the current interchangeable lens cameras costing less than $1500 and recommended the best. The same photographer will put the same lens on either body so those two things aren't really variables worth mentioning. Enjoy living in the 1950's, FujiSTYLE. The smaller size and weight will be nice to carry around daily. I just sent my review unit back and it really impressed me. This is due to the fact how we perceive color. So this section will be very short!

How does Fuji do it? Can I get your views if you have a moment on this trade in. Improvement is in AF, not IQ.

It becomes the third mirrorless camera after the Sony A9 and Fujifilm X-T3 to maintain an uninterrupted live view while shooting at high speeds. This wasn’t the smartest move if you ask me. I don’t understand why they have left this out of the menu options (unlike with the H1) given that you and other reviewers have noted the key can be accidentally pressed very easily. Fuji has certainly gotten model rich.X-T*X-T*0X-T*00XE*XHXPro*XF100*plus the 3 medium format models. Lastly, the X-T3 has a larger eyecup that extends outward from the back of the camera more; as someone with glasses, the X-T30 simply wasn’t as nice to shoot with, and my nose constantly pressed up against the rear LCD. But where does this leave the X-T20? The latter only applies when you put the camera into boost mode, which eats up the battery quicker. Canon also has this now with the RP, but no cheap lenses to go with it.

The X-T30 looks identical to the X-T20 from the front and top. Turning to Full HD, the X-T30 offers a maximum frame rate of 120fps at 200Mbps for slow motion footage. These cameras are very close and Fujifilm could do away with the X-T30.
