Coleman’s Model 501 stove was only on the market for a couple of months before it was recalled due to problems with the circular generator which didn’t vaporize fuel properly. The tank is now red painted steel, not finished in bronze lacquer. The 10/79 is marked on the tank tab, and the bottom of the stove.
