Curt Caris' passion for music began early in his life. Having played drums for various bands with a love for electronic music, he was moved by the 90's club and early scene in Chicago. After hearing John Digweed play at a Chicago nightclub and a nearby hangar afterward, he witnessed the potential of the new electronic music world that was evolving.
Having dedicated himself to becoming a DJ, he followed some of Chicago’s finest artists and was given the opportunity to perform, opening for his favorite DJ's and later earned residencies at Kaboom, Karma and Crobar nightclubs.
Hungry to develop his own musical style and inspired by the explosion of great talent in the scene, he began conceiving events including 'BANG: The Quality of Sound' featuring artists such as Moby, Sandra Collins, Chris Fortier, John '00' Fleming, and Kimball Collins. His residencies and position as a buyer at Gramaphone Records led to him becoming a Balance Promote Group member
Currently, Curt is performing with Aural Matrix productions in a series of events at Primary Nightclub featuring Luis Junior, Henry Saiz, CID, Inc., Deepfunk and Marcelo Vasami, which is igniting progressive house and techno music in Chicago.
